Description

The city of Fermo is in a magnificent hilly position. From the top of the Girfalco hill the view embraces all the Marche: from the Sibillini Mountains to Monte Conero and the Adriatic Sea. Formerly a Roman "Firmum", over the centuries it has maintained great political and administrative importance in the Piceno area. This is testified by a very well preserved medieval wall, the arcades of Piazza del Popolo with the Palazzo dei Priori, the elegant Teatro dell'Aquila and the sumptuous Cathedral with the characteristic white Istrian stone facade. Our weekend will leave room for the pleasures of the table, good wine and the fun of our bike excursion that will alternate places of artistic interest with landscapes that will excite you.

Program

FIRST DAY

Arrival in the afternoon at the hotel and free time for a walk in Piazza del Popolo and to the Duomo for the magnificent view at sunset. Dinner and overnight at the hotel

SECOND DAY

After breakfast, meeting with the cycling guide for an initial briefing and bike test. Hilly excursion among vineyards and landscapes on the sea, which will lead you to learn about the history of the place through a visit to the villages of Altidona, Moresco and Torre di Palme where a well-deserved aperitif awaits us. There will be convivial moments with photo stops. Return to the hotel for free lunch and afternoon at leisure for relaxation. Dinner and overnight

THIRD DAY

After breakfast, meeting with the cycling guide for an initial briefing and bike test. The excursion has as its destination the city of Fermo which is just 7 km away. We will reach it by "white roads" climbing along the ridge that goes from the abbey of San Marco to the Paludi passing through the Matteucci watchtower. The narrow streets of the historic center will lead us from Piazza del Popolo to the majestic Cathedral that stands on the Girfalco hill with a panorama that will range from Monte Conero to Gran Sasso. After the tasting we will return to the hotel in time for the return of the rooms and the return of the rooms.
